FAQs

What tradition of astrology do you study?

I study Hellenistic astrology. This framework emphasizes the seven visible planets, implements Whole Sign house division, prioritizes the Ptolemaic aspects, and evaluates planetary condition. I practice this framework to conceptualize and delineate charts.

What branch of astrology do you practice?

I practice natal astrology, also called genethlialogy. It’s defined as the practice of “studying the positions of the planets at the moment of a person’s birth.” It requires a birth chart, also called a horoscope, and is used to “determine information about the nature and course” of a person’s life. I do not offer horary, medical, or electional astrology services at this time.

Which concepts and techniques do you utilize in your practice?

I utilize the following concepts in natal consultations: sect, gender, the joy scheme, solar/lunar phase, dignity, debility, aspects, bonification, and maltreatment. I synthesize these concepts to delineate charts. I utilize the following timing techniques in predictive consultations: transits, annual profections, solar returns, and secondary progressions. I do not use primary directions or zodiacal releasing at this time.

How do you structure your consultations?

I offer a variety of consultations and structure them similarly. I allot ninety minutes for each offering. This gives ample time for contemplation, interpretation, and discussion. I begin by establishing the client-astrologer relationship, clarifying objectives, and determining desired outcomes. I proceed by developing ideas to reach those outcomes then specify how one might do so. I conclude the session by offering resources that support your goals and reestablish the client-astrologer relationship.

If I’m a first-time client, may we skip the natal consultation and do a “predictive” one instead?

In short, no. I do not feel comfortable doing “predictive work” without having done the “natal work” first. The latter enriches my theoretical understanding with your practical understanding. It’s like a dance. By starting with natal, we can “predict” thoughtfully instead of mechanically.

I do not identify as queer. May I still book a consultation with you?

Yes! In fact, I encourage it. Looking queerly, more often than not, gives us fresh options and delightful alternatives. I think everyone should be afforded that opportunity and that includes you.

What’s your refund, cancellation, and rescheduling policy?

At this time, I do not offer refunds; all sales are final. If you’d like to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you may do so through the confirmation email or contact me directly. I understand that life happens which is why clients are able to reschedule, one time, without penalty.

Please note: if the intake form is incomplete, the appointment will be rescheduled
